Colin Vicente

Managing Director |

Colin holds an MSc in Health Economics from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Pharmacy. Colin has spent the last decade designing and implementing health economic studies, executing on price optimization plans and delivering results through successful reimbursement strategies. Colin brings a unique approach to PIVINA via his experience and progression in the pharmaceutical industry. His innovative approaches and take charge attitude will allow him to continue to deliver high quality results for PIVINA's clients.

Jim McIntosh

Manager, Pricing |

Jim holds an Honours B. Comm. and MBA degrees from the University of Windsor. He has almost 40 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with global pharmaceutical companies and as a consultant with PIVINA since 2012. Jim's pharmaceutical experience spans all aspects of price management strategy, as well as providing back-office support to government affairs activities, product management, and new product launches. In addition, since 1993, he has been involved in PMPRB-related activities, including semi-annual reporting, preparation of new drug patentee submissions, and 2 major overhauls of the rules and guidelines under which PMPRB operates (2010, 2021). Jim brings to PIVINA and its clients a wealth of experience in such areas as: development of annual price optimization strategy; introductory pricing strategy for new medicines; preparation of Patentee Submissions to PMPRB for new patented medicines; completion of mandatory PMPRB reporting forms; monitoring patented medicines price compliance with PMPRB's Excessive Price Guidelines, and, where necessary, assisting clients with development of an appropriate strategy to minimize the financial impact of non-compliant pricing situations.

Marc Geadah

Director, Market Access |

Marc holds a Bachelor in Medical Sciences (BMSc) degree with an honours specialization in microbiology and immunology from the University of Western Ontario, and a Master of Biotechnology (MBiotech) degree from the University of Toronto. Throughout his graduate studies, Marc received broad exposure to the Canadian pharmaceutical landscape, as well as hands-on drug reimbursement experience during a one-year internship placement at AstraZeneca Canada Inc. Marc joined PIVINA in January 2012, and is currently contributing to the delivery of reimbursement strategies and submissions for clients.

Andrea Szkurhan

Director, Client Services and Market Access |

Andrea graduated from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Science and from the University of Toronto with a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry. Andrea has spent the last 9 years in the area of Health Economics, Outcomes Research, and Market Access. Before joining PIVINA, Andrea worked on the design and implementation of health economic and market access tools, including interactive models (budget impact, cost-effectiveness) and retrospective database analyses that used pharmacy and medical claims data to provide patient outcomes to help support formulary management. Andrea brings strong project management, client management, and market access experience to PIVINA. At PIVINA, Andrea provided her expertise in the development and launch of - an interactive payer portal that serves as a communication link between Reviewers and Manufacturers when evaluating submissions for funding recommendations. currently hosts over 40 formulary submissions and supports Canadian private payers, including key Pharmacy Benefit Managers, and Hospital P&T Committees. Additionally, Andrea currently works on various market access submissions to payers, including the Common Drug Review, INESSS, public and private payers.

Anat Leibel

Manager, Strategic Consulting and Market Access |

Anat holds an Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences (BHSc) degree from the University of Western Ontario. Before joining PIVINA, Anat worked at the pan Canadian Pharmaceutical Alliance (pCPA) office as a Negotiations Consultant. She brings a public payer lens and strong project management skills to PIVINA to support drug reimbursement submissions and pricing/negotiation strategy for clients.

Natasha Jakac-Sinclair

Manager, Market Access |

Natasha holds an Honors BSc in Molecular Biology and Genetics from McMaster University and an MSc in International Health Policy & Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences in the UK. Before joining PIVINA, Natasha has previously worked on Health Economics and Outcomes Research in EU markets with Bristol-Myers Squibb as well as other roles in the life sciences sector within Canada. At PIVINA, Natasha brings her analytical and statistical skills to support drug reimbursement submissions for clients.

Nicholas Hon

Manager, Market Access |

Nicholas holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Waterloo with a specialization in biotechnology. Through the internship program, he has gained valuable industry experience working as a part of the quality assurance, operations and validation teams at Germiphene Corp., Apotex Inc., and Patheon Inc., respectively. He also holds a Master of Biotechnology (MBiotech) from the University of Toronto. Nicholas first joined PIVINA in January of 2019 on a one-year internship, in fulfillment of the MBiotech program requirements. Upon completion of the internship, Nicholas returned as a Reimbursement Associate and is responsible for the delivery of analytics and drug submissions dossiers for clients.

Haben Abraha

Manager, Market Access |

Haben holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology and a Master of Applied Science in Biomedical Engineering, both obtained at the University of Toronto. Before joining PIVINA, Haben worked with the Medical Outcomes and Research in Economics (MOREĀ®) Group, where he conducted clinical health outcomes research and statistical analysis of Phase 4 real-world evidence for pharmaceutical clients. In his role at PIVINA, Haben uses his clinical knowledge and analytical experience to assist clients through delivery and support of drug reimbursement submissions and market access strategies.

Aaron De Jong

Reimbursement Associate |

Aaron graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Health Sciences from the Biomedical Discovery and Commercialization program and is studying in the Master of Biotechnology (MBiotech) program at the University of Toronto. Aaron has a diverse background in academic research, ranging from drug discovery to epidemiology. He has also collaborated with local life science start-ups on commercial projects. Aaron joined PIVINA in January 2020 through the MBiotech internship program and returned as a Reimbursement Associate in 2021. Aaron leverages his research and commercial experience to support clients in the development of reimbursement strategies and HTA submissions.

Omer Baig

Market Access Associate |

Omer graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology, Neuroscience & Behavior and from University of Toronto with a Master of Biotechnology. Prior to PIVINA, he has worked in Corporate Planning at Astellas Pharma Canada, Inc. and as a freelance Market Access contractor. Omer is interested in creating and executing innovative strategies to provide care for patients.

Priya Thomas

Market Access and Health Economics Associate |

Priya holds a Bachelor's degree in the Life Sciences and a Master's degree in Health Research Methodology, both from McMaster University. Before joining PIVINA, Priya worked in clinical research and in evidence synthesis roles to support the creation of new clinical guidelines. At PIVINA, Priya brings her background in clinical research and health evidence to support drug reimbursement submissions for clients.

David Cameron

Manager, Health Economics |

David holds a Master”Ēs degree in Health Economics from Ume«© University. Before joining PIVINA, David worked at CADTH and at the BC Cancer Agency as a health economist. He brings strong modelling skills, programming capabilities, and knowledge of CADTH guidelines to PIVINA.

Shivani Kamdar

Health Economics Associate |

Shivani holds an Honours Bachelor of Sciences and a Doctor of Philosophy in Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology, both obtained from the University of Toronto. Before joining PIVINA, Shivani worked on a variety of translational research projects, developing multiple prognostic models to predict cancer patient outcome after surgery. At PIVINA, she brings her background in biostatistics and extensive analytical experience to support drug reimbursement submissions for clients.

Kristina Bei

Drug Reimbursement Analyst |

Kristina graduated from Ryerson University with an Honours Bachelor of Science (HBSc) in Biomedical Sciences and a Minor in Psychology. During this time, she gained research experience in microbiology and infectious disease through studying E. coli O157:H7 pathogenesis. She joined PIVINA as part of the Master of Biotechnology (MBiotech) program at the University of Toronto, where she is currently specializing in Biopharmaceuticals. Kristina aims to support clients by combining her strong analytical background and passion for making innovative therapies accessible to deliver high quality results.
