Colin Vicente

Managing Director |

Colin holds an MSc in Health Economics from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Pharmacy. Colin has spent the last decade designing and implementing health economic studies, executing on price optimization plans and delivering results through successful reimbursement strategies. Colin brings a unique approach to PIVINA via his experience and progression in the pharmaceutical industry. His innovative approaches and take charge attitude will allow him to continue to deliver high quality results for PIVINA's clients.

Tharani Napper

Director, Market Access |

Tharani Napper earned an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree from McMaster University and she obtained her Postgraduate Diploma in Communications. Additionally, she completed her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at the Ivey Business School at Western University. Tharani has spent 15 years in the Canadian Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology industry and brings value to clients through strategic consulting services that dissect market access planning/decisions holistically within the Canadian business as well as the global perspective. She has been responsible for designing and implementing strategies that gave products a sustainable competitive advantage in the marketplace. She has been involved in over 100 Heath Technology Assessments (CDR / INESSS / pCODR / Provincial & Private Payers) and numerous product listing agreements with public and private payers, including the pan-Canadian Pharmaceutical Alliance (pCPA).

Jim McIntosh

Manager, Pricing |

Jim holds an Honours B. Comm. and MBA degrees from the University of Windsor. He has been in the pharmaceutical industry for more than 30 years with a global pharmaceutical company, the last 19 of which he had primary responsibility for pricing and PMPRB-related activities. He was also a member of Rx&D's PMPRB Sub-committee for 3 1/2 years. Jim brings to PIVINA and its clients a wealth of experience in such areas as: development of annual price optimization strategy; introductory pricing strategy for new medicines; preparation of New Drug Submissions to PMPRB for patented medicines (including multiple products categorized as Breakthrough or Substantial Improvement); completion of mandatory PMPRB reporting forms; monitoring patented medicines price compliance with PMPRB's Excessive Price Guidelines, and, where necessary, assisting clients with development of an appropriate strategy to minimize the financial impact of non-compliant pricing situations.

Marc Geadah

Senior Manager, Market Access |

Marc holds a Bachelor in Medical Sciences (BMSc) degree with an honours specialization in microbiology and immunology from the University of Western Ontario, and a Master of Biotechnology (MBiotech) degree from the University of Toronto. Throughout his graduate studies, Marc received broad exposure to the Canadian pharmaceutical landscape, as well as hands-on drug reimbursement experience during a one-year internship placement at AstraZeneca Canada Inc. Marc joined PIVINA in January 2012, and is currently contributing to the delivery of reimbursement strategies and submissions for clients.

Andrea Szkurhan

Senior Manager, Client Services |

Andrea graduated from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Science and from the University of Toronto with a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry. Andrea has spent the last 9 years in the area of Health Economics, Outcomes Research, and Market Access. Before joining PIVINA, Andrea worked on the design and implementation of health economic and market access tools, including interactive models (budget impact, cost-effectiveness) and retrospective database analyses that used pharmacy and medical claims data to provide patient outcomes to help support formulary management. Andrea brings strong project management, client management, and market access experience to PIVINA. At PIVINA, Andrea provided her expertise in the development and launch of - an interactive payer portal that serves as a communication link between Reviewers and Manufacturers when evaluating submissions for funding recommendations. currently hosts over 40 formulary submissions and supports Canadian private payers, including key Pharmacy Benefit Managers, and Hospital P&T Committees. Additionally, Andrea currently works on various market access submissions to payers, including the Common Drug Review, INESSS, public and private payers.

Karen Giang

Manager, Market Access |

Karen holds an Honours Bachelor of Science (HBSc) degree with a specialization in Chemical Biology from McMaster University, and a Master of Biotechnology (Mbiotech) degree from the University of Toronto. During a one-year internship with AstraZeneca Canada Inc., she received hands-on drug reimbursement experience while supporting the pricing and market access team. Karen joined PIVINA in January 2016 and is currently supporting the development of reimbursement strategies for clients and various market access submissions to both public and private payers.

Simon Duong

Reimbursement Associate |

Simon Duong holds an Honours Bachelors of Science specializing in Cell and Molecular Biology, an MSc from the Department of Cell and Systems Biology, and a Master of Biotechnology from the University of Toronto. Simon joined PIVINA in January 2016 and completed a one-year internship, where he worked on CDR, INESSS, and private payer drug submissions. He currently holds a Market Access Manager position and is responsible for supporting and delivering drug reimbursement strategies and submissions for clients.

Michael Xu

Health Economics Associate |

Michael holds an Honours Bachelor of Science (HBSc) degree from McMaster University, and a Master in Science Health Research Methodology, Health Technology Assessment Specialization from McMaster University. Michael joined the team in October 2017 as a Health Economist, where he utilizes his economic and statistical modelling and programing skills to support PIVINA clients through HTA submissions.
